Bud light country music Party The Bud Light Country Music Party is proud to have headliner James Otto and opening act Bomshel as this year's twinbill performers. The Country Music Party will be held in the Sprint Tent on Saturday May 1st, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Otto's debut Warner Bros. Records release Sunset Man, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, scored three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and remained in the Top 5 Country Albums chart for six weeks after its release in April 2008. James co-wrote nine of Sunset Man’s 11 tracks and co-produced the CD with Big & Rich’s John Rich and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus. The album’s first single, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You,” was the Most Played Single of 2008 at Country radio and Billboard’s No. 1 Hot Country Song of 2008. The track was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance. James was also an ACM Award winner in the Song of the Year category as a co-writer for Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” (a track that also earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song). In addition, he was nominated in the Top New Male Vocalist category at the ACM Awards and in the New Artist of the Year category at CMA Awards. Sunset Man has sold almost 400,000 copies.
Well known for their vivacious personalities and sense of musical adventure, the Curb Records duo displays their more pensive side on the hit “Fight Like a Girl.” The song engaged country radio and served to whet appetites for Kristy and Kelley’s new project, a well-crafted collection that finds the talented twosome hitting their stride as songwriters and vocalists. Several years of touring have given them an extra measure of confidence in what they wanted to say and how best to say it. “Bomshel has been such a journey of self discovery for me personally. The whole thing has been amazing,” says Kristy, who first met Kelley when they were both performing at a multi-artist event in Michigan. “Kelley went on right before me and the line up included Blake Shelton, Sarah Buxton and other acts. I’d been out in the crowd and I was leaving to go get ready for my set when she came out and started singing. I came back in so I could watch her and she had an amazing voice. It absolutely blew my mind. She’s like LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride---all my favorite singers---all wrapped in one. This girl is an incredible singer and she was owning the stage.”
