Thursday Night Fever Disco Dance Party
With
the success of the Nashville-flavored Bud Light Country Music Party
on Saturday night; and the Key West-flavored Jim Stutzman Chevrolet-Cadillac-Buick
Beach House on the Bloom on Friday night; the Festival was looking
for another great theme party to complete the set – something
with a completely different flavor. Enter the New York City stylings
of TeamWaldo.com Thursday Night Fever Disco Dance Party, Thursday,
May 1st from 8pm to midnight, located at the Sprint Center Tent.
The Sprint Center Tent atmosphere will be Manhattan, in shades of
white and black and chrome. The food will be Times Square street vendor
style- soft pretzels and Nathan’s hot dogs and may be purchased
at the event. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including a Martini
bar, may be purchased with proper identification.
The music will be disco boogie at its best, presented by one of the
finest nationally touring disco party bands in the United States- Nigel
Holland and the Right
On Band. The sounds of Gloria Gaynor; KC and
the Sunshine Band; Earth, Wind and Fire; and Kool and the Gang will
blow the roof off the tent. This band played a Christmas Party at the
White House this past December for George and Laura Bush. Thursday
Night Fever Chair, Sabra Veach assures us that this band is indeed “Right
On!” Disco attire will be encouraged and may quite possibly be
rewarded (highest platforms; et cetera). A dance contest with attractive
prizes will be held, to be emceed by Mr. Nigel Holland himself. Other
surprises tied in to the theme are planned. This event has already
picked up nicknames like “That 70s Party” simply on its
potential for fun. So, get out your brightest polyester, slip on those
platform boots, line up under the disco ball, and kick off your Bloom
by SHAKING YOUR GROOVE THANG!
