Miss Honorary Fire and Rescue Chief Contest In 1947, the city and county fire companies decided to choose an Honorary Fire and Rescue Chief to represent them in the Fireman’s Parade (which was changed to the Firefighters’ Parade in 1981). The Out-of-Town Honorary Fire and Rescue Chiefs compete in a beauty pageant on Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m. - located at Daniel Morgan Middle School. The winner of the event gives her Fire Company the distinction of leading the In-Town or 1st Division of the “World’s Largest Firefighters’ Parade” on Friday, April 30. The In-Town Honorary Fire and Rescue Chiefs representing all Winchester City and Frederick County Fire Companies compete in a beauty pageant. The pageant will be held Saturday, March 27, at 7 p.m. - located at Daniel Morgan Middle School. The winner of this event, with her sponsoring Fire & Rescue Company, lead the 2nd Division of the “World’s Largest Firefighters’ Parade” on Friday, April 30. Admission is $5.00 (all ages) tickets are available at the door. Both groups of beauties represent their Fire & Rescue Companies at the Schenck Foods Firefighters’ Reception to be held this year on Thursday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Fire Department. Both the In-Town and Out-of-Town Honorary Fire Chiefs will ride on floats in the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, May 1. 2009 Fire and Rescue Chief Pageant Winners:
