oldies rock 'N' Roll Dance

Rock and Roll is alive and well! And if you don’t think so, just be a part of the Annual Shenandoah Apple Blossom Rock ‘n Roll Dance Saturday, May 3 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Lee-Jackson Ballroom in Winchester where ”The Fabulous Hubcaps” will deliver their award-winning oldies show at an encore performance.

The nation’s most sought-after oldies show band, now in their 34th year, is as diverse and colorful as the bowling shirts they wear. They have performed in such prestigious gatherings as the White House Press Corps, The Kentucky Derby, for Redskin Coach Joe Gibbs, country clubs, fund raising events, and even country fairs.

The Hubcaps have been inducted into The Southern Legends Entertainment and Performing Arts Hall of Fame That honor was presented by Sun Records Recording Artist Vernon Taylor.

Since their first 45 rpm record in 1982, The Hubcaps have released 15 recordings from cassette tapes to their most recent compact disc, “Summer Nights”. This seven piece band with their high energy tributes to original artists such as Little Richard, Elvis, The Platters, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Ray Charles, The Shirelles, The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones, just to name a few, continue to captivate fans.

The Hubcaps boast an extensive repertoire of do-wop group harmony, classic rock and roll, Roc-a-Billy, Motown and R&B music. They are heralded as one of the best oldies show bands in the country.
