Kimberly's - Pumps and Pearls Ladies Party
The 85th theme of “Rhapsody in Bloom” unites the inaugural year of the Festival and the year that George Gershwin composed “Rhapsody in Blue.” The year: 1924! “Silent Cal” Coolidge was president and his wife, Grace Goodhue Coolidge, was known for her work with the deaf and her social activities at the White House. Prohibition was failing and speakeasies and bootleg alcohol were growing. From 7:30 p.m. till 10 p.m. on Monday, April 30, make Kimberly’s Pumps & Pearls the start of your Festival week. Put on your swingy, short, little black dress and your longest pearls for that jazz era look. Create and wear your “bloom pumps” for THE shoe contest (participation optional). For an evening filled with joy and enthusiasm (two synonyms for rhapsody), we look forward to seeing old friends and new.
Sponsored by Kimberly’s along with Coopers Jewelers, Just Wright Fine Jewelry, LL McKee Salon, Spring Arbor of Winchester and 92.5 WINC FM. |
