Old Town Wine & Fine Arts Festival

In a traditional wine-tasting atmosphere, Virginia Wineries will be offering wine samples to attendees over a two-day event. A number of local-independently owned restaurants are participating as food exhibitors to sell foods that compliment the wines. Regional artisans are also being invited to participate as exhibitors. Live musical entertainment will be present to complete the atmosphere.

The event will be held on Friday, April 24th from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. (wine tasting ends at 8:30 p.m.), and Saturday, April 25th from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. (wine tasting ends at 5:30 p.m.). Sales of unopened bottles, cased wine and vineyard accessories will be sold until the close of the event each day.

The Wine & Fine Art Festival will be situated on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall. The wine tasting and food courts will be split into two areas, the parking lots at the south end near the Discovery Museum (Hable lot) and at the parking lot across from the Daily Grind,(Feltner lot) and the artisans will be spaced out in-between the two areas.

Attendee tickets: $20.00 at the gate or the Festival store. Location of the store to be determined in March 2009. The attendee receives a keepsake Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® wine glass which is used for the tastings. Non-paying guests and children may accompany adults into the event; but, may not participate in the tastings.

Application Fee - $100.00 for a 10 X 10 space and $175.00 for a 10 X 20 space. We are very excited about this new event and we believe it will generate a great deal of community spirit. Your participation will add an eclectic representation of our local restaurants, showcase the fine art of artists, and the taste of fine Virginia wines. What a wonderful kick-off to our Festival week.
