weekend in the park:
NAPA
Cruise-In Car Show
The best that Detroit had to offer in the glory days of America’s ongoing, deep love affair with the automobile will be on display in the spectacular assemblage of some of the Nation’s finest preserved and restored vehicles at the 21st Annual Apple Blossom Car Show on Sunday May 6th in the Jim Barnett Park. Laden with gleaming chrome and perfection paint, millions of dollars worth of automobile history will wait to be critiqued by judges and admired by Weekend-in-the Park visitors at the annual Apple Blossom Car Show hosted by Winchester’s premier Car Club, Yesterday’s Cruisers, Inc. of Winchester. Yesterday’s Cruisers, Inc. is a non-profit car club founded in 1987 by local businessmen and car buffs Dan Sullivan, Gary Dunn, Ronnie Hammond and Ernie Creek.
The club anticipates upwards of 300 vehicles including classic, muscle and sports cars as will as street rods, trucks, and vintage automobiles. Awards will be given to the top 50 open class car’s and truck’s, as will as, Best-in-Show Car and Best-in-Show Truck. The first 200 entries will receive complementary souvenir dash plaques. There will be other activities available in the park including food, music, entertainment, arts and crafts, as well as, antique fire-fighting equipment, and antique tractors on display.
Car show chariman, Doyne Teets, will be on hand along with other members of Yesterday Cruisers to make sure you have a great fun filled day and a great show.
