Cruise-In Car Show
The
best that Detroit had to offer in the glory days of America’s
ongoing, deep love affair with the automobile will be on display in the
spectacular assemblage of some of the nation’s finest preserved
and restored vehicles at the 17th Annual Apple Blossom Car Show Sunday,
May 3rd, in Jim Barnett Park from 9 am. to 4 p.m.

Laden with gleaming chrome and perfection
paint, millions of dollars worth of automobile history will wait to
be critiqued by judges and admired by Weekend-in-the-Park visitors
at the annual Saturn of Winchester Cruise-In Car Show hosted by Winchester’s premier car club, Yesterday’s
Cruisers of Winchester. The event is also sponsored by Tire Distributors.
President Richard Funk expects upwards
to 400 vehicles including classic cars, muscle cars, street rods, vintage
automobiles, motorcycles, sports cars and trucks. Awards for the top
40 in the open class and top 10 in the compact class will be presented
along with best-in-show trophies in both classes. the motorcylce classes’ winning entries will receive
first, second and third place awards. The first 300 entries will receive
complementary souvenir dash plaques. Yesterday’s crusiers, inc.
is a non-profit car club founded in 1987 by local businessmen and car
buffs dan sullivan, gary dunn, ronnie hammond and ernie creek.
Special guests, displays, food, music, entertainment,
crafts and an antique fire-fighting equipment display will also make
up the Sunday event. Please note that
pets are not allowed in Anthony’s
Pizza Weekend in the Park.
