“I now declare the 83rd Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® Weekend in the Park open!"

These words will be proclaimed by Queen Shenandoah LXXXIII, , at 10 am Saturday, May 1st, at the main entrance to Anthony’s Pizza Weekend in the Park during our Grand Opening Ceremony, sponsored by Curves, Verizon Wireless, Valley Health and Chevrolet.

Victor CastigliaOn Sunday enjoy Fun Day in the Park, the NAPA Cruise-In Car Show, and Musical and Interactive Entertainment including a Cooking Demonstration with Chefs Vittorio Castiglia (shown right), owner and chef of Castiglia’s Italian Eatery on S. Pleasant Valley Road in Winchester and Riccardo Stocco, owner & chef of Violino’s on the Old Town Mall in Winchester.

Want a different perspective? Try a helicopter ride over Winchester! Hungry? We have a variety of festival foods to tempt you.

The Fun Day activities are located in the park area alongside the Midway on Sunday only. They are free and are lots of fun for kids of all ages!

Events in the Gymnasium: While in the Park come into the War Memorial Building Gymnasium to see even more crafters as well as our first Home, Energy & Garden Show. Visit local home improvement vendors for advise and demonstrations of their products.

Yesterday’s Cruisers Car Club again promises to have over 200 vintage and classic "muscle cars" from the 40s, 50s and 60s! This event is on Sunday only and is weather-dependent.

Admission is only $5.00. A two-day pin is available for $7.50. On Sunday this fee gets you into the NAPA Cruise-In Car Show and the Entertainment.

Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult are free. All US Military personnel in uniform will be admitted for free.

Drive right into Jim Barnett Park for expanded Parking Opportunities. Follow the signs and the personnel for FREE parking locations within Jim Barnett Park for easier access to this event. One way traffic will flow from Bridgeforth Road (off E. Cork Street) through the Park to exits either at Lowery Drive or out Maple Drive back to E. Cork Street.
