Grab your kids’ running shoes and head over to Handley Boulevard for the Kids’ Bloomin’ Mile Race at 4:00 p.m. Reward them for their effort by staying in the Handley Boulevard area for the Firefighters’ Parade at 5:30 p.m. Your family will get a great sneak peek at all the wonderful Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival attendees.
EVENING
Load the kids up in the car and take in a movie at the Family Drive-In Theatre. Opened in 1956, this two-screen theatre offers car speakers, retro pre-show music, and a concession stand!
If the family is interested in a little history and mystery of the Winchester area, consider a ghost tour with the Apparition Trail. Tours start on Friday at 8pm, kids under 12 are free.

The Apple Blossom Festival’s Midway this year is in Old Town Winchester. A festive area that has family friendly games, moon bounces, rock wall, face painting, and bungee jumping all weekend long. Try one of nearly 30 restaurants, many with outdoor dining, and grab an ice cream cone from Red Fox Creamery.
EARLY AFTERNOON
Just like the firefighters’ parade, but bigger! Head back over to Handley Boulevard for the Grand Feature Parade at 1:30 p.m. to enjoy the best sights and sounds that the Shenandoah Valley can offer.
AFTERNOON/EVENING
The kids will love the rides, games, and food at the Apple Blossom Carnival, which runs from noon-7pm on Sunday. The Carnival features more than 55 rides and a popular ticket for “ride for one price”.
