Local Ladies Competing for State Titles at Miss Virginia Volunteer

The Miss Virginia Volunteer Competition will be held this Saturday, August 15^th at John Handley High School in the Patsy Cline Theater at 7:00PM. Winners at the state level are awarded numerous scholarships and advance to the national level of Miss America Volunteer in June. 

The organization proudly represents the core values of scholarship, education, responsibility, volunteerism, and empowerment of young women.  As ambassadors for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Salvation Army they demonstrate unwavering commitment to lead with purpose, serve with heart and inspire with action.

The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® has 3 representatives vying for the state titles. Olivia Escalante is Miss Apple Blossom Volunteer. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently employed as talent acquisition coordinator for Solidcore.

The Miss Apple Blossom Teen Volunteer, Brilea Hamilton is a student at Broadway High School and James Madison University’s Lab School. She is also a competitive dancer. 

 Miss Virginia Dogwood Teen Volunteer Lillian Lewis is a junior at John Handley High School and a student at Vostrikov Academy of Ballet.
