Festival Announces Selection of Princesses

​The selection of Princesses to serve in the Court of Queen Shenandoah XCVIII for the 2025 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® has been announced by festival officials. The princesses include Jillian Harper Goltermann, Camdyn Alexis Lockley, Hallie Jordan Pearson, Sonya Marin Rizzo, and Kloe Brianne Thomas.

​Jillian Harper Goltermann

​Jillian Harper Goltermann is the daughter of Clarissa Merriner and Joshua Powell of Gore, VA. She is the granddaughter of Penny and John Marriner of Winchester, VA and Caroline Andrews Porter of Springfield IL. Jillian is a freshman at Shepherd University majoring in criminal justice. She is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and she serves as sisterhood chair. Jillian is a 2024 graduate of James Wood High School. In her free time, she enjoys baking and creative writing. 

Camdyn Alexis Lockley

​Camdyn Alexis Lockley is the daughter of Lindsey and Christopher Lockley Jr. of Winchester. She is the granddaughter of Lois Mitchell of Saint Augustine, FL, Nicholas Luebcke of New Windsor, NY, Marilyn Brandt of Winchester, and Denise and Christopher Lockley of Youngsville, NC. She is a freshman at Missouri State University pursuing a degree in business marketing management. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity and the Entrepreneur and Leadership Club. Camdyn is a 2024 graduate of Millbrook High School where she was a varsity volleyball player. She was also a member of the Blue Ridge Volleyball Association for both indoor and beach volleyball. Camdyn is an active member of her community, volunteering with the Timbrook Food and Toy Drive, cleaning the streets of Missouri, and local animal shelter. 

​Hallie Jordan Pearson

​Hallie Jordan Pearson is the daughter of Suzanne and Barry Pearson of Stephens City, VA. She is the granddaughter of Alice and Richard Lakes of Keswick, VA, Cheryl Pearson of Charlottesville, VA, Alfred Good of Harrisonburg, VA, and the late Suellen Good and Norman Carter Pearson, Jr. Hallie is a freshman at James Madison University majoring in hospitality management and is a member of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. She is a 2024 graduate of Eukarya Christian Academy where she was a four-year varsity volleyball player, recipient of the 2023 sportsmanship award, 2023-24 team captain, and member of the 2023-24 student council. 

​Sonya Marin Rizzo

​Sonya Marin Rizzo is the daughter of Kate Tolley Rizzo and Michael Rizzo of Far Hills, NJ. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn and Joe Rizzo of Spring Lake, NJ and the late Sonya Tolley and Dr. Larry Tolley. Marin is a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in social work with a minor in studio art. She is a participant in the university radio station, WPTS. Marin is a 2024 graduate of Rutgers Preparatory School where she graduated with a fine arts concentration in drawing and painting and served as makeup artist for school productions. She received the Louisa J. Chasen Memorial Prize in Creative Writing and the Parent’s Association Award. She was a member of the prom committee, art club, and president of the Human Rights Club. Her mother, Kate, served as a princess in the court of Queen Shenandoah LXX, Amber Medlin.

Kloe Brianne Thoma

​Kloe Brianne Thomas is the daughter of Kimberly and Darren Thomas of Stephens City. She is the granddaughter of Darlene and Robert Thomas of Johnstown, PA and the late Barbara and John Sherbondy. She is a senior at Liberty University where she is majoring in psychology with an emphasis in counseling. Kloe is a recipient of the Dean’s List and has received recognition for leadership roles including Resident Shepherd, community group leader and as a volunteer with the nonprofit organization Connecting Point. Kloe is a 2021 graduate of Sherando High School. She is a member of Victory Church where she serves as a youth group leader. 

​The Princesses will accompany Queen Shenandoah XCVIII and her Court to all Festival functions throughout the 98th Festival scheduled for April 25th to May 4th, 2025. They will participate in the Coronation Ceremony to be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at John Handley High School. They will attend the Queen's Ball and Dance Party Presented by Insurance Center of Winchester, to celebrate the coronation of Queen Shenandoah XCVIII to be held Friday, May 2nd beginning at 8:30 pm at The George Washington Hotel Ball Room. They will ride on the Royal Float in the Glo Fiber Grand Feature Parade scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025.
