Pearson Connolly Frey is the son of Sarah and Kevin Frey of Winchester, VA. He is the grandson of Carol and Jim Ford and David Frey, all of Winchester, and the late Peggy Frey. He is a fourth-grade student at Apple Pie Ridge Elementary School where he is a member of the Apple Pie Ridge Choir. Outside of school, he enjoys art, drawing, reading and drumming. His mother was a maid of honor in the court of Queen Shenandoah LXXXI, Jaqui Rice.
Festival Announces Selection of Pages
Four boys have been selected to serve as Pages in the Court of Queen Shenandoah XCIX during the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, April 24th through May 3rd, 2026. The Pages are Pearson Connolly Frey, David Louis Hall, Beau Hess Henkle and Aidan Patrick Murphy.
David Louis Hall is the son of Jennifer and Joe Hall of Winchester. He is the grandson of Sally Coates of Winchester, Brenda and Doug Hall of Watkinsville, GA and the late Charles David Coates. David is a fourth-grade student at Evendale Elementary School where he is on the AB honor roll and is a member of the running club and chorus. He plays soccer with Blue Ridge Youth Soccer Association and basketball with Frederick County Parks and Recreation. He has played for the Supreme Gamechangers and was part of the Stonewall Bandits 7U tackle football championship team. David serves as an acolyte for Stephens City United Methodist Church.
Beau Hess Henkel is the son of Elizabeth and J.C. Henkel of Winchester. He is the grandson of Susan and Scott Dyke of Winchester, Malinda and William Henkel of Clear Brook, VA and the late Leslie Gay Henkel. Beau is a fourth-grader at Garland Quarles Elementary School where he is a member of the Early Act Club and Basketball Club. Outside of school, he plays travel soccer with Blue Ridge United and basketball with Frederick County Parks and Recreation. His mother was a princess in the court of Queen Shenandoah LXXIV, Tyne Vance.
Aidan Patrick Murphy is the son of Lauren and Michael Murphy of Winchester. He is the grandson of Jacqueline and Gerard Murphy of Potomac, MD and the late Virginia Krempa. Aidan is a fourth-grader at Frederick Douglass Elementary School where he is the co-captain of Frederick Douglass Running Club. He is a member of the Shenandoah Valley Youth Lacrosse League and various leagues for basketball. Outside of school, he enjoys reading and painting.
The Pages will participate in the Coronation Ceremony of Queen Shenandoah XCIX at John Handley High School on Friday, May 1st, 2026 and will ride on the Queen’s float in the Grand Feature Parade on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
